Funding

Novinda invested more than $4.5 million in developing and demonstrating the effectiveness of Amended Silicates. Approximately $2.8 million of the total investment was funded by grants from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), and a combination of cash and in-kind contributions from power companies and coal ash byproducts brokers.

In June 2009, the company received a Series A venture financing of several million dollars to support the operations and future growth of the company. In February 2011, Novinda received $6 million in Series C equity financing to support the product launch of the industry's first non-carbon reagent for mercury emission control in coal-fired plants.
